Low temperature heat exchanger is a heat exchanger with heat pipe as heat transfer element.Its advantage is high heat transfer efficiency, compact structure, small fluid resistance loss, good for controlling dew point corrosion, etc.Now,it has been widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, oil refining, boiler, ceramics, transportation, textile, machinery and other industries.It has achieved a remarkable economic effect as an energy-saving equipment in the process of the waste heat recovery and technique.

Main characteristics of low temperature heat exchanger:

1. Low temperature heat exchanger can separate hot and cold fluid through the middle plate of the heat exchanger.In the process of operation, the damage of a single heat pipe due to wear, corrosion, over temperature and other reasons will not affect the operation of the heat exchanger.Heat pipe heat exchangers are highly reliable applied in fluid heat transfer in flammable, explosive and corrosive situations.

2. The cold and hot fluids flow completely separately in low temperature heat exchanger and it is easy to realize the countercurrent heat transfer of the cold and hot fluids.Both hot and cold fluids flow outside the tube. The heat transfer coefficient of the flow outside the pipe is much higher than that of the flow inside the pipe,so it is very economical to be used in low-grade thermal energy recovery occasions.

3. For the fluid with high dust content, the heat pipe heat exchanger can solve the wear and blockage problems of the heat exchanger by change of structure, expansion of heating surface or other forms to solve the wear and ash-plugging problem of heat exchanger.

4. When the low temperature heat exchanger is used to recover the residual heat of corrosive flue gas, the wall temperature of the heat pipe can be adjusted by adjusting the heat transfer area of evaporation section and condensation section to keep the heat pipe away from the maximum corrosion area as much as possible.
