Faster Delivery, Superior Quality: Accessen's Shanghai Facility Transforms with Digital Upgrade

In response to rapid growth in the data center and heat exchanger business and international expansion needs, Shanghai Accessen has completed the upgrade of its heat exchanger production workshop and partial office areas at Shanghai factory. The renovation significantly enhances production capacity, digital manufacturing, and smart office capabilities. By integrating digital technologies and automated equipment into production, testing, warehousing, and logistics, Accessen now delivers faster and higher-quality products to its customers.

Since its establishment in 2002, Accessen has evolved from Shanghai Accessen New Technology Co., Ltd. to Shanghai Accessen Group Co., Ltd., and now to Shanghai Accessen Co., Ltd. Advanced technologies such as big data and AI are deeply integrated into manufacturing, reshaping production methods, organizational structures, and business models—particularly in the heat exchange industry, which is characterized by small-batch, customized, and rapid-delivery production. Accessen’s real-time production planning system provides hourly updates on capacity, order progress, raw material inventory, project status, press capacity, and energy consumption, ensuring full transparency across the production process. A real-time digital display in the "Quality Control Center" tracks metrics such as processing order pass rates, assembly inspection pass rates, supplier quality analysis, and defect data. By leveraging IoT and cloud computing, the factory has broken down data silos between systems, enabling smart, coordinated operations across production and sales.

In parallel with advanced automation, Accessen has strengthened quality control systems. The facility is equipped with industry-leading equipment, including a 50,000-ton hydraulic plate forming press, automated plate cutting and blanking lines, customized laser cutting machines, laser and plasma welding robots, seam welding production lines, advanced electrophoretic coating systems, CNC pipe cutting machines, automatic alignment welders, and labor-saving lifting devices. These enable high-quality, large-scale, and efficient production.

To meet diverse industrial requirements, Accessen has developed nearly 100 types of removable heat exchanger plates tailored to various operating conditions, along with welded heat exchangers designed for high-temperature and high-pressure environments. These innovations significantly broaden the application range of plate heat exchange technology.


Production process management, visual displays, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) clearly illustrate key manufacturing stages for plate heat exchangers. Every unit is produced under strict quality management standards. The renovated workshop follows 5S methodology, with zoned operations to optimize logistics and reduce material handling time. Clear floor markings designate tool locations and temporary storage areas, enhancing visual management. Color-coded zones—such as red for safety warnings and green for logistics pathways—simplify functional identification and reduce operational errors.

 

Through enhanced information systems and supply chain collaboration, upstream partners now share real-time updates on order capacity and material availability. This shift from fragmented multi-source data to synchronized progress enables flexible production planning aligned with product and order needs.

 

The smart transformation of Shanghai factory is expected to significantly boost production efficiency, support expansion, improve equipment and energy utilization, lower operational costs, shorten delivery and R&D cycles, and reduce defect rates. These improvements further support Accessen’s commitment to its ESG goals.
